Binovi Technologies Inc. tackles the often-missed visual challenges that affect 1 in 4 people. They provide professionals with innovative tools that go beyond standard vision care, enhancing treatment approaches for better visual performance and cognitive function.
MY ROLE
I designed two distinct apps tailored to different user needs:
๐ฉบ For Optometry Professionals: Created an app that helps optometrists track and support patient progress, enhancing workflow and patient care.
๐ For Their Patients: Developed an app that provides easy access and clear guidance for completing home therapy effectively, ensuring consistent patient engagement.
THE IMPACT
The Binovi Pro and Coach apps significantly enhanced patient engagement and adherence to home therapy, leading to higher completion rates. Patients were able to effectively complete their assigned exercises at home and felt reassured knowing they could easily communicate with their care team if they had any questions or concerns.
For practitioners, these tools streamlined the monitoring process, enabling more efficient and effective support for patient progress and fostering a stronger connection with their patients.
THE CHALLENGE
Balancing Professional Needs
Creating an app to suit the diverse needs of optometrists was challenging. We had to balance different workflows and preferences to make a tool valuable for each user, while also encouraging a shift from paper to digital for improved efficiency and patient engagement.
